A Blanket and a Smile: Maria’s Story
When 6-year-old Maria and her mother fled their destroyed home in Kharkiv, they arrived at a shelter with nothing but the clothes they wore. Shivering and scared, Maria was handed a warm blanket and a stuffed bear by one of our volunteers. That simple act brought a smile back to her face.
Today, Maria sleeps safely, goes to a temporary school, and holds on to hope—because of donors like you.
Vasyl’s Journey from Frontline to Recovery
Vasyl, a 28-year-old volunteer defender, was injured during a missile strike while protecting civilians. With hospitals overwhelmed, your support provided the emergency medical kit that helped save his leg.
Through our medical aid program, Vasyl received treatment, physical therapy, and emotional support.
Now, he walks again—and works with us to deliver supplies to others still fighting.
